Mr. Jayant K. Banthia - Interim Chairman Former Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, has held several important positions in the Government. Mr. J K Banthia, who has a master's degree in demography from the London School of Economics, was posted as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Health Department, Chief Executive Officer of a Zilla Parishad, and Collector, Bhandara, Director of Census Operations under the Ministry of Home Affairs, where he was promoted as Registrar General and Census Commissioner and held the post till May 2005. Prior to his posting in the State, Banthia was on a UN deputation to Nigeria as the Chief Technical Adviser to the United Nation Population Fund for four years. On January 6, 2010, he returned to the State Government and was appointed Commissioner, Family Welfare.


Dr. (Mrs.) Pheroza J. Mr. Anil Shastri Mr. Anil Shastri, son of the late Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, is a Special Invitee to the Congress Working Committee, which is the highest decision-making body of the Indian National Congress. He was a Member of Parliament and Minister in the Ministry of Finance, government of India, and a Member of the Standing Committee of the International conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). Mr. Shastri is currently the Chairman, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi, amongst many others. Mr. Shastri has received an Award from Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan, USA, 'in recognition of unending devotion and dedicated service to the high purpose of International Education'.


Mr. Samir Shah Mr. Samir Shah currently runs an investment firm in Mumbai working with international funds and local companies on investments and strategy. He is an active investor in early stage companies across sectors ranging from technology, water, renewable energy, consumer retail, education and healthcare, among others. He works closely with many of these companies on an ongoing basis and is a Board Observer on many of these companies.

He has been actively involved in global capital markets for the last 25 years, investing/trading across asset classes, strategies and sectors based in in Hong Kong and New York. During that period, he has worked with Goldman Sachs, Salomon Brothers and Deutsche Bank prior to setting up and founding a multi-strategy investment fund in Hong Kong.

He received his MBA with distinction from The Wharton School (University f Pennsylvania), is qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a law degree from Mumbai University.


Prof. (Dr.) Rohini Chowgule Prof. (Dr.) Rohini Chowgule is a Pulmonologist who has done her Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Veteran Hines and Loyola Medical College, Chicago, USA. Over the 35+ years of medical career she focussed on teaching (at Grant Medical College, Mumbai and Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai), research and practice. She was Professor and Head of Medicine Department at Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, a Post Graduate Institute from 2008 till 2013.

She has held many important positions over the years such as Secretary of the Indian Chest Society (1996 - 2005), Treasurer of Indian Chest Society (2006 - 2011), Member, American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society, Country leader for India in Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD), Country leader for India in Global Initiative against Asthma (GINA). She is Vice President, Foundation For Environmental Medicine.
She has a firm believer that healthcare information technology improves healthcare outcomes and has launched MedDocket an electronic health record portal with associated mobile apps and has been a pioneer in Store and Forward Telemedicine in India. Apart from her interests in medicine and technology, she is an avid golfer and has represented India twice at Asia Amateur International Golf Championship.

Mr. Y. H. Malegam Mr. Y. H. Malegam, former Managing Partner of S.B. BillimoriaILLIMORIA & Co., and Co-Chairman of Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Chartered Accountants.


Mr. Peter T. Hassan Advisor - Strategy & Planning, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) was eminent Corporate Affairs and Management Consultant, former Advisor - Industries, with Cabinet Rank to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Consultant to major national and international MNCs and Organisations.


Zelma Lazarus Zelma Lazarus was the Trustee, Founder Director and Chief Executive Officer of Impact India. As General Manager Corporate Relations of Voltas Limited, a large Private Sector enterprise in India, she has had substantial experience in all aspects of public affairs. Her work experience is over 40 years.



MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD
Dr. Ninad S. Gaikwad MBBS, DORL, MS (ENT), DNB.

He is a full time Associate Professor in ENT at Seth G. S. Medical College, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is on the Advisory Board of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India of which he is an active member. His preference is for cases pertaining to otology (ear) and correction of laryngotracheal stenosis. Dr. Gaikwad has volunteered many times on Impact India's Lifeline Express.


Dr. Kulin Kothari Ranked First in MBBS, Bombay University, Gold Medallist at the M.S. and D.O.M.S. examinations; received extensive training in cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery in the U.K., U.S.A. and Germany. Senior Opthalmic Surgeon, Chairman & Medical Director, Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre and Managing Trustee, Vision Foundation of India.


Dr. Taral Nagda MS (Orth) DNB, D'Ortho

He is a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with rich experience consulting at Institute of Paediatric Orthopaedic Disorders (IPOD) Clinics, Saifee Hospital Charni Road, Parel Hospital Mumbai, Parakh Hospital Ghatkopar and Jupiter Hospital, Thane. Dr. Nagda has volunteered for many camps including operating on rural patients from Impact India's Community Health Initiative in rural Thane District, Maharashtra.


Dr. Mansing Pawar M.D.S. (Mumbai) He is the Chairman, Clinical Board of Studies, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. His positions include Professor and Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and Dean, Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai; Member, Dental Council of India; Dean, Faculty, MUHS, Nashik; and Member Senate, Academic Council, Dental Faculty, MUHS, Nashik. A dynamic administrator Dr. Pawar is all for the provision to and sustenance of outreach dental services in underserved rural areas. His team has served over 10,000 patients in Impact India's Community Health Initiative in rural Thane District, Maharashtra.


Dr. (Mrs.) Vinita Puri MBBS. MS (General Surgery), M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery)

She is Professor and Head, Department of Plastic Surgery at Seth G. S. Medical College, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has many years of teaching experience, is published widely and has won the N. H. Antia Award 2008 for best publication in indexed journal by the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India. She is an Executive Committee Member, National Association of Burns India, Member, Board of Studies, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences 2006 and Member, Editorial Board, Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery, 2002. She is a Clinical Fellow at the Dept. Of Plastic Surgery - Gyeong-Sang National University Hospital, South Korea, April 1998. Dr. (Mrs.) Puri has volunteered many times on Impact India's Lifeline Express.


Professor R. Rangasayee BSc in Speech Pathology and Audiology from AIISH Mysore, MSc in Speech and Hearing from AIISH Mysore, P.G. Certificate in Linguistics - University of Madras, Certificate in Clinical Instruction - U.C.L.A. USA, Diploma in Differential Psycho diagnostics of Deaf children - Institute Voor Doven, Netherlands

He is the Director of Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, (AYJNIHH) Mumbai, and an Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist with 34 years of experience at various levels including at a State Medical College, Regional Rehabilitation Centre and AYJNIHH. He is a recipient of the USAID Fellowship, Rajiv Gandhi National Award, National Technology Award amongst many other Awards. He has launched several schemes and courses including the telephone Disability Information Line, Inclusive Vocational Training, Web-based Training for the Deaf and a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Media and Disability Communication. Prof Rangasayee is Chairman and Member of several national and international academic bodies. Over the years the AYJNIHH team has served many patients on Impact India's Lifeline Express as well as in the Community Health Initiative.


Dr. (Mrs.) G. Subbulakshmi MSc. (M.S. University, Baroda), PhD (M.S. University, Baroda), Post Doctoral (CFTRI, Mysore)

She is a qualified, senior and highly respected Nutritionist with rich experience covering seven States of India with a focus on rural areas. She has been the Director of the Research Unit, College of Home Science, S.N. D. T. University Mumbai, Principal of Colleges belonging to Birla Education Trust, Pilani, and Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, amongst other senior positions. A Ford Foundation Fellow, Dr. (Mrs.) Subbulakshmi has been the recipient of many awards including the Fulbright Award. She is a Life Member of Scientific Associations, including Scientific Adviser for the Nutrition Society of India and Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India. Her publications are extensive and include research on Nutritional and Clinical studies on Traditional Foods: Use of Traditional Herbs for therapeutic purposes as well as subjects such as the Nutritional profile of unconventional sources of Foods, Food Safety and Quality Assurance and Nutrition Education.

Dr Pankaj Chaturvedi MS FAIS FICS FACS MNAMS Professor, Head and Neck Surgeon

Dr Pankaj Chaturvedi is Professor and Head and Neck cancer Surgeon at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Dr Chaturvedi did his medical schooling and post graduation in General Surgery at Banaras Hindu University. He was adjudged the best Intern and the best post graduate during his tenure in Banaras Hindu University. Later, he decided to work in field of surgical oncology and received his formal training at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has been invited as visiting faculty in 22 institutions in 18 countries. He is member of several prestigious national and international organizations and is the editor of the Textbook of Head and Neck Surgeryand has authored 6 book chapters and more than 100 papers in international peer reviewed journals.

He is Principal investigator of several clinical trials and his main area of interest is early detection of oral cancer. He is the recipient of the Robert Maxwell Byers award of the American Head and Neck society in year 2010. He was nominated as Council Member of the prestigious International Academy of Oral Oncology. He is one of the founding members of South Asian Federation of Oncology and in the steering committee of the Eurasian Head and Neck Oncology Society. He is the founder and treasurer of the Head Neck Cooperative Oncology Group.

Dr Chaturvedi has tremendous interest in Public Health issue especially related to Tobacco control. He started the famous Voice of Tobacco Victims Campaign (www.vovindia.org) which was instrumental in ban on Gutka all over India. He received WHO Director General’s award in 2010 for this campaign. He represented India as Global Cancer Ambassador to New York to lobby with UN representatives for the special UN summit on Non Communicable diseases. He was awarded Outstanding Young Indian award for his public health initiatives. He is also the recipient of the Judy Wilkenfield Award for excellence in Tobacco Control by Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, Washington, USA. Recently he was conferred British Medical Journal award popularly known as Oscar of Medicine. On world CSR day he was conferred coveted Social Innovation & Iconic Leadership Award (2016).
