Launched in April 2022, this project aims to give a headstart to tribal children (aged 3 to 6 years) in
Anganwadis and at home in Mokhada Block by improving their physical, emotional and mental development.
The project envisages a structural upgrade of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) by providing a conducive learning
environment to pre-school children and curriculum inputs to stimulate and promote motor skills and
cognitive development. IIF provides training by experts to Anganwadi Sevikas and volunteers.

COVID-19 Prevention & Control - Trace, Treat & Track
From June 2021, during the pandemic, an AI-integrated COVID-19 surveillance software platform was
customised by IIF and used to trace, track and treat Covid patients. IIF reached out to 1 lakh Tribals
to help detect and control COVID-19 and promote nutrition and personal hygiene. It sent door-to-door
teams equipped with protective gear and tablet devices to screen residents using digital thermometers
and oximeters. The teams also tested blood pressure & sugar levels for treatment and timely referrals to
control morbidity and mortality. IIF mobilised 75% of the Mokhada population to get vaccinated against
COVID-19 and also generated awareness on COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) with the help of 100 local
college students.
