Rajdeo Mahato - Cook, Lifeline Express

Rajdeo Mahato - Cook, Lifeline Express

Super cook - a sublime description no doubt but not an exaggeration when one considers the magnitude of his service. Working single-handedly, he cooks for nearly 100 persons everyday and serves about 400-500 cups of tea and coffee to the doctors, visitors, the Lifeline Express staff et al ! Having worked on the Lifeline Express since 1994, his ebullience and eagerness to feed his guests well, does not seem to have dissipated in these past seven years. Starting his day at 5 a.m. his is the longest day, when he winds up at nearly midnight, after serving all. “Service to others before oneself”, is his motto which takes him through his hectic day.
Married to Nirmaladevi, he has three sons, Santosh, Sandeep and Sanjay, back home in Muzaffarpur District of Bihar. He looks forward to his annual holiday which is thoughtfully sanctioned to him without question by the Colonel so that he can pursue his hobby - relaxing !

An adept driver, he has driven across all the rugged, uneven and treacherous roads of rural India, taking the Colonel from one destination to the next. Married to Mriduladevi, Rai too hails from Muzaffarpur District in Bihar. Stern looking he has a no-nonsense approach, following instructions only from Colonel Vishwen. He is the father of two sons Vikas and Vikram. He also assists in the Projects during rush hours
