63rd Lifeline Express Project at Jais, Uttar Pradesh
The leader of the opposition in Parliament and Congress President Ms. Sonia Gandhi and Chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation inaugurated the 63rd Lifeline Express Project on 28th October at Jais Railway Station in Sultanpur District, Amethi, in U.P. State. The five-week project sponsored by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation will provide medical aid to over 6000 underprivileged people in Jais, free of cost.

Ms. Gandhi said “Social Service should be kept above politics” and that the Lifeline Express has been a noble gift for the disabled of India especially those in rural India who do not have the capacity to reach for medical help on their own. The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is happy to be associated with such a noble cause.
