“Challenges for innovative and Cost Effective Strategies in Preventing and Mitigating Disability” was the theme of the International Federation of Impact Organisations (IFIO) conference, attended by India, Bangladesh, East Africa, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, UK and USA from Feb 18 to Feb 22, 2007, at Cebu City, The Philippines. November 2006

Impact India Foundation launches its first Lifeline Express Mobile Clinic that travels into the remote village interiors of the Community Health Initiative for early diagnosis of refractive errors and hearing impairments especially in children. August 2006

Impact India donates 55,000 doses of Rubella vaccine and equal amounts of solo shot syringes, manufactured by Merck USA, valued Rs. 5.17 crores courtesy Americares, USA to the Government of Maharashtra for use in the Community Health Initiative. September 2005

Impact India distributes much needed medical supplies during the Mumbai floods, courtesy, Americares, USA, a non profit, humanitarian organization. The $ 15 million worth donation was the largest single donation ever received for disaster relief by a single agency. June 2005

Impact launched its Community Health Initiative in the seven tribal blocks of Thane District, Northern Maharashtra: Palghar, Talasari, Dahanu, Jawhar, Vikramgadh, Mokhada and Wada covering a population of 1.5 million persons.

July 16 2001 The Lifeline Express completes ten years of service covering 49 projects in 15 States restoring sight, movement, hearing and correction of clefts to over 300,000 disabled persons.
April 4 2001 President Bill Clinton visits Anjar, Gujarat, where the Lifeline Express was stationed.
March 2001 Feasibility Study on District Community Health Initiative commenced.
February 2001 Lifeline Express moves to earthquake-hit Gujarat.
February 2001 Two railway coaches completely remodelled (funded by Impact UK) for the Lifeline Express.
June 2000 Expo 2000 medal conferred on Impact at Hannover, Germany for the Lifeline Express.
June 2000 Gandhi Book in various languages launched.
February 2000 All Impact Foundations worldwide meet in Geneva.
November 1999 Collaboration with The Smile Train, USA, for cleft surgeries on the Lifeline Express and elsewhere.
April 1999 Built on the same concept as Impact India's Lifeline Express, the floating riverboat hospital "Jibon Tori" was launched in Dhaka, by Impact Bangladesh.
April 1999 The third Malaria Clinic launched in 'A' ward of Mumbai where the highest number of Malaria cases have been reported.

February 1999 Cleft Lip and burn contracture surgeries - a new dimension introduced on the Lifeline Express.
January 1999 Impact India associates with the University of Pune in their Golden Jubilee celebrations by conducting a workshop on "Conservation and Development of the Pune River System". A cotton bag specially designed was released to promote the use of biodegradable bags.
1998 A fourth coach attached to the three existing coaches of the Lifeline Express to serve as a diagnostic centre for patients and training centre for those surgeons practicing medicine in the rural interiors who wish to enhance their knowledge.
July 1998 The second Malaria Clinic inaugurated at Kasturba Hospital : largest hospital for infectious diseases in Maharashtra.

March 1998 The first Impact Asia-Pacific Council meeting organised in Hong Kong. The Asia-Pacific Council established to cater to the specific requirements of the Asia-Pacific Region consisting largely of less developed countries and covering half of the world's population with an estimated 200 plus million persons with disability.
1998 Establishment of Impact Pakistan and Malaysia.
June 1997 Impact's second Hospital train (for China) launched in Hong Kong during the official Handing over Ceremony of Hong Kong to China.
April 1997 Impact launches its first Malaria clinic in a densely populated slum in Mumbai with the largest number of reported cases of Malaria.
April 1997 Establishment of Impact Sri Lanka.
August 1996 Establishment of Impact Hong Kong.

June 1996 Impact India launches a series of Seminars for Private Medical Practitioners in Mumbai to establish awareness about Malaria.
June 1996 Impact Asia-Pacific registered as "Impact Asia-Pacific Disability Prevention Council".
March 1996 First meeting of the Foundation in the Asia-Pacific region in New Delhi.
1995 Technical guidance from Impact India Foundation for replication of Bombay Fights Disability Programme to Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
December 1995 Pilot training workshop for surgeons on the Lifeline Express commences.
December 1995 Impact India is invited by the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai to participate in the National Programme of Pulse Polio Immunization. The programme is on going for five years.
April 1995 Impact India's Health Home inaugurated in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. It serves as a follow up for patients on the train.

January 1995 For the first time since its inception, representatives of the various Impact Foundations worldwide meet in New Delhi. The Seminar produced an ambitious Mission Statement emphasizing six priority areas aimed at reducing disability by 25% within the next ten years.
1995 Establishment of Impact Forum Norway.
May 1994 Impact receives the United Nations Grand Award for the Lifeline Express project for Excellence in Public Service, in New York
September 1993 Establishment of Impact Foundation Nepal.
July 1993 Establishment of Impact Foundation Bangladesh.
July 1991 The world's first Hospital on Wheels, The Lifeline Express launched.
February 1991 Commencement of a series of seminars for Private Medical Practitioners along with the doctors from the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai in order to stress on the WHO schedules of Immunization and the importance of cold chain maintenance. 
October 1990 Guinea Worm eradication project launched in Bhivandi near Mumbai.
May 1990 Establishment of Impact Philippines.

April 1990 "Cure on Wheels" extended to include doctors from the USA both Indian and American for annual Impact Nirvana surgical camp in Himachal Pradesh, India.
November 1989 Impact India launches "Cure on Wheels" a hospital van, suitably equipped with medical and surgical instruments and equipments, which traverses through rural areas in order to offer on-the-spot curative and diagnostic medical and surgical treatment for the handicapped.
March 1989 Impact's Computerized Immunization Information System ( PDF Format / Word Format )*  programme commenced in 'D' ward, Mumbai, covering 25,000 vulnerable children. This computer system has been replicated throughout Mumbai and forms part of the Municipal Corporation's Information System.
1987 Establishment of Impact Thailand Foundation.
December 1986 Impact's "Bombay Fights Disability" covering 500,000 children, launched.

November 1984 Establishment of Impact Africa ( Kenya ).
1984 - 1986 "Polio-Free Madras" project - 300,000 vulnerable children fully immunized in a mass effort catalyzed by Impact.
March 1984 Registration of Impact India Foundation, the first Impact country Foundation in this global programme.
