Impact India Foundation has been registered for receiving duty free goods under a Ten-year Bilateral Agreement of the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, with USA / UK / Germany / Sweden and Switzerland.
The Registration, for ten years from February 2005, approves Impact India for inclusion “in the list of recipient organisations for receiving duty free goods / eligible donated supplies from approved donor organisations.”
Almost immediately on registration Impact was fortunate to receive donations of medical supplies from AmeriCares, a reputed Humanitarian Aid Agency, based in the USA. These have been used to equip the Lifeline Express Hospital train, for Flood Relief in Maharashtra and other States and the Community Health Initiative in Thane District, Maharashtra. For more see Flood Relief.
