50th Lifeline Express Project at Chiplun
A Dance with a difference

Mahesh Pande, a gifted and highly qualified Indian classical dancer, is producing a special dance programme for Impact India in honour of the 50th Project of the Lifeline Express, which will be inaugurated at Chiplun Railway Station, Ratnagiri District on October 6, 2001, in the presence of a large number of dignitaries from India and abroad.

Mahesh has chosen forty young children from the local Municipal school (New English School, Pedhe-Parshuram) in Chiplun and will stay at the school for three weeks commencing 15th September, in order to interact closely with the children during the daily rehearsals. He feels that the children are not just dancing for an event, but that they must understand the true meaning of Impact and become young ambassadors of the movement.

The programme will be in Hindi, to the music of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the renowned classical Santoor maestro.
