The Lifeline Express Diagnostic Bus:

For the School Health Programme, as part of the Community Health Initiative (CHI), much time, effort and money is spent to bring school children long distances to a centrally located Primary Health Centre where Impact arranges for Specialists and the necessary equipment for Hearing, Vision and sometimes Dental check-ups. Impact has already tested 60,000 children with a target of 200,000 children in the CHI Blocks. A fully equipped multi purpose vehicle would be of great assistance so that children (aged six to fourteen) could be tested in the Bus at their schools for Vision, Hearing, Clefts and Orthopaedic impairment, and, through film screenings and health awareness programmes, promote health-seeking behaviour even amongst parents and those children who are not in school.

The Lifeline Express Diagnostic Bus will be fully equipped with:
  1. Auto Refractometer
  2. Snell’s Chart
  3. Audiometer
  4. TV/DVD Player for Training villagers in Health Awareness
  5. Special Features: 5 KVA Generator, Air Conditioning & Air Curtain and Expandable Awnings

The Lifeline Express Surgical Bus:

Impact India Foundation is also designing a custom-made Mobile Operation Theatre Bus - with a Trailer for the Autoclave machine and Genset - to conduct surgeries in remote, rural padas (hamlets) which do not avail of medical care due to poor access.
